About Us
We are your pharmacists, Dave and Kathryn Seelman. We met while receiving our Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University at Buffalo. Together, we have more than 30 years of experience working in community retail pharmacy. In 2019, we fulfilled our dream and opened Irondequoit’s only independent mom and pop pharmacy! As residents of Irondequoit, we are excited for the opportunity to be a part of our neighbors’ journey toward health and wellness. Stop in and see us. We look forward to meeting you!
MEET YOUR PHARMACIST
Dave Seelman
Dave Seelman’s passion for the profession of pharmacy started at an early age when he competed in the Eckerd Drug Quiz Show as a student at Greece Arcadia Middle School. Dave began working at Eckerd Drugs as a high school student in 2003 and has been involved in pharmacy ever since. He enrolled in the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy, working as a Pharmacy Technician and Intern at Eckerd Drugs and Rite Aid Pharmacy during school. He graduated with his Doctorate in Pharmacy in 2010.
After graduation and licensure, Dave was quickly promoted from Staff Pharmacist to Pharmacy Manager. During the next three years, Dave managed three separate Rite Aid locations in Rochester. Dave spent over five years working for Rite Aid and Walgreens as a Pharmacy District Manager, overseeing the operations of numerous pharmacies across the state. In the spring of 2019, Dave left the corporate world behind to open Irondequoit Pharmacy.
MEET YOUR PHARMACIST
Kathryn Seelman
Kathryn Seelman grew up in West Irondequoit and has been part of the Pharmacy community in Rochester since her first job at Eckerd Pharmacy in 2001. She attended the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy. During her time at UB, she was named to Phi Lambda Sigma, an organization that recognizes outstanding leadership in the profession of pharmacy. She was also named Member of the Year of the Student Pharmacist Society of the State of New York (SPSSNY).
After graduating with her Doctorate in Pharmacy, Kathryn worked as a pharmacist at Walgreens Pharmacy. In 2015, Kathryn joined Pine Pharmacy at Twelve Corners, where she received extensive training in pharmacy compounding. In 2019, she completed a fellowship through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in Anti-Aging, Functional and Metabolic Medicine. In the spring of 2019, Kathryn and her husband opened Irondequoit Pharmacy in her hometown. As of April 2020, Kathryn has taken ownership of Twelve Corners Apothecary, where she proudly serves the Rochester community.
